Special County Attorney--Child Protection INVITATION TO BID Gilpin County is currently accepting proposals and resumes for a County Attorney position to provide legal services for the Department of Human Services. Applicants need to have strong legal experience in all aspects of child welfare, including child maltreatment, delinquency and adoptions and have an excellent working knowledge of Colorado law and applicable federal laws, as they pertain to children and families. Applicant needs to be available for emergency child welfare hearings, or be able to make arrangements for such coverage. Additional duties may include Child Support and Adult Protection cases. References from fellow attorneys, judicial officers or personnel, and/or Department of Human/Social Services staff are strongly recommended. Gilpin County reserves the right, as its interests may require, to reject any and all bids, to waive formalities and informalities contained in said bid and furthermore to award a contract for items herein, either in whole or in part, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of Gilpin County to do so.
